How To Get There

Hotel Cozumel & Resort is located just past the southern end of San Miguel, the main town on the island. The location balances easy transfers from the airport, walks into town and access to the dive sites at the southern end of the island. Upon arriving at Cozumel International Airport (CZM), guests will take a shuttle van to the resort. The resort is located across the street from the beach, however, an underground tunnel provides quick access to the beach club, private dock and Girasoles beach-side restaurant.

Standard Room

Although in the majority they overlook the largest swimming pool in Cozumel, some of them offer a beautiful partial view of the Caribbean Sea. These air-conditioned rooms have been furnished with either one king size bed or two double beds, flat screen TV, a direct dial telephone, radio/alarm-clock, safety deposit box, iron, and ironing board. All bathrooms are marble finish with shower and bathtub, hairdryer and toiletries.

Its private bathroom with shower and bathtub is paved with marble. It is equipped with hairdryer. Deluxe toiletries along with plush robes, and pool/beach towels are available to you as well. This room category is only available with our All Inclusive Meal Plan. It is also equipped with a mini-fridge with beer, soft drinks, and water, that are supplied everyday.

Standard Room with Accessibility Features

Having acknowledged the importance of being customer satisfaction oriented, Hotel Cozumel offers a set of 10 rooms for people with disabilities. All of them are on the ground floor in the same building overlooking the largest swimming pool in town. These 10 air-conditioned standard rooms are available with two double beds only. They also have a flat screen tv with international channels, direct dial telephone, radio/alarm-clock, safety deposit box, iron, and ironing board. These rooms were remodeled to meet concerns for the disabled. Therefore, they feature:

Girasoles Restaurant & the gym

Food & Drinks

Los Arcos is the main restaurant at Hotel Cozumel, and where breakfast and dinner are served buffet style. Servers ensure that guests have everything they need for a great meal. Girasoles is an open-air restaurant serving lunch on the beach - perfectly situated for sitting right down upon return from morning diving. Los Pericos is a snack bar located next to the pool, while the Lobby Bar is open all evening for kicking back with a cold drink. The all-inclusive package grants access to all restaurants and bars, with alcoholic drinks included.

Dive Information

The diving in Cozumel is comprised primarily of drift dives along beautiful coral reefs. Two-tank morning dives are standard, generally starting with a deeper reef in the Palancar region of the Marine Park. Here divers will descend to 60-120 feet to drift along massive walls, explore swim throughs and channels and take in all the colorful soft coral formations. The second dive is typically on a shallower reef closer to the resort with depth in the 30-60 range, where ambient light mixes with coral heads and gardens of sponges, gorgonians and great fish life. Beach dives present underwater photographers with the time to search for critters with their macro lens.

Visibility range is typically 100ft+ year-round and water temperature is between 75 - 85F. The weather is tropical with little seasonal variation.

Divers will find eagle rays in the winter months, reef sharks in the summer months and turtles and nurse sharks year round. Cozumel is home to the Splendid Toadfish, which can be found under ledges. Grunts, parrotfish, black grouper, angelfish, tangs, moray eels, lobsters and much other marine life can be found on the reefs in Cozumel. There are also juvenile drum fish, seahorses, anemone fish, nudibranchs, arrow crabs and many other small critters.

Personal dive lockers & night dive preparation

Dive Paradise has a dive center and shop located at Hotel Cozumel's beach club. Dive Paradise is a large dive operation started in 1984 and caters to all divers - from small groups to visiting cruise ship divers. The dive center is fully equipped to meet your diving needs. Hotel Cozumel's beach club offers rinse tanks a gear storage lockers, which make it easy to take care of gear after diving. The beach also has a protected pool for beach divers to enter the water before swimming through the notch into the open ocean. The Dive Paradise shop provides the tank and weight. As with most Cozumel resorts, other dive operations may pick up divers at the Hotel Cozumel dock.
