How To Get There

Chogogo Dive & Beach Resort Bonaire is located just 800 meters from Kralendijk, the island’s main town, and about a 15-minute drive from Flamingo International Airport (BON); while the resort does not provide transfers, taxis and rental cars are readily available at the airport for a quick and easy trip to the property.

Dive Information

The waters surrounding Chogogo Dive & Beach Resort place guests at the heart of Bonaire’s world-famous diving, with direct access to the island’s protected reefs and some of the easiest shore entries anywhere in the Caribbean. Just steps from the resort, divers can explore Bari Reef, celebrated for having one of the highest recorded numbers of fish species in the Caribbean. This site offers a gentle slope starting close to shore, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced divers who want long, relaxed dives. 

A short distance away, the iconic Salt Pier provides a completely different underwater landscape, where towering pilings are encrusted with sponges and corals, attracting schools of tarpon, barracuda, and reef fish in swirling patterns. The area also offers night diving opportunities, when octopus, squid, and hunting tarpon come alive under the lights. 

Further along the coast, dive sites such as Something Special and Cliff continue to showcase Bonaire’s marine diversity. Something Special lives up to its name with abundant macro life, including seahorses, frogfish, and cleaner shrimp hidden among vibrant coral heads, while Cliff features one of the island’s few vertical walls, offering a dramatic change from the fringing reef.

Dive Center Information

The resort’s on-site dive center, Scuba Do, makes exploring Bonaire’s underwater world both seamless and enjoyable. Perfectly located right on the beach, it offers direct access to house reef diving as well as convenient shore entries for exploring nearby sites. The dive center is a PADI facility, providing a full range of courses from beginner to advanced, along with guided dives for those who want expert local knowledge of the reefs. 

Scuba Do is well-equipped with modern rental gear, nitrox availability, and both DIN and yoke tanks to accommodate divers’ preferences. A camera room is also available for underwater photographers, offering space to safely set up and maintain equipment.
